I have been living in a town called Reading in Berkshire, UK for around 8 years or so. Although I am still living and working in Reading, I’m originally from Cumbria in North West England, home to the Lake District National Park. Cumbria contains some of the most beautiful lakeside and mountain scenery in the UK, and it was my frequent journeys back home which initially perked my interest in digital photography. I wanted to be able to capture some of this beautiful scenery for myself.
In December 2009 I armed myself with my first real DSLR and began snapping away. It’s still a learning experience getting to grips with the terminology, techniques and understanding the technology behind modern photography. However, I find it hugely enjoyable and rewarding when you manage to snap something you can be proud of.
My camera goes everywhere with me at the moment, and so I thought it nice to have a selection of photos online where friends and family can see what I have been up to (even if it just involves me being sat on a motorway flyover in the freezing cold!). It’s good fun.
And besides, as a self-confessed geek a little PC time is always welcome
